Parlay Room is an app for building sports bet slips with friends. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to delete it. Short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a scrambled one-way hash; we can't read them.
What you add to the app: groups you create or join, slips, legs, notes, slip rules, Hit/Miss marks, and who placed a bet (when you tap Place bet).
Settings: your theme, notification choice, and, if you pick one, the state you bet in (used only to hide bets your state doesn't allow).
Notifications: if you turn them on, your browser's push address so we can send slip alerts.
Feedback, reports and error reports: messages you send us, plus the screen you were on and your phone/browser type. If the app crashes, it sends us a short error report.
Slip screenshots: if you use Upload slip, the picture is read on your phone. If the AI slip reader is switched on, the picture is also sent to Anthropic (Claude) to read it. We don't keep the picture.
Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to block abuse (too many wrong passwords or invite codes) and kept in our server logs.

We don't collect your sportsbook login, your bets or balances at any sportsbook, your location from your phone's GPS, or your contacts.

How we use it

To run the app: sign you in, show your groups and slips, and keep everyone in a group in sync.
To send emails you ask for (sign-up codes, password resets) and notifications you turned on.
To handle a Pro subscription if you buy one.
To fix problems and improve the app, using feedback and error reports.
To keep the app safe, for example limiting repeated wrong passwords.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the app work, and only what each one needs:

Railway hosts the app and its data.
Stripe handles payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
Brevo sends our emails (your email address and the message).
Anthropic reads uploaded slip pictures, only when the AI slip reader is on.
Push services (Google, Apple or Mozilla, depending on your phone) deliver notifications.
Google Fonts and jsDelivr serve the app's fonts and the on-phone slip reader, so they can see your IP address when the app loads them.
Odds providers (The Odds API, SportsGameOdds) give us betting lines. We send them no personal information.

Members of a group can see your name and what you add in that group. If you share a slip with a tail link, anyone with that link can see that slip (its name, legs and odds, not who's in your group). We may also share information if the law requires it.

Sportsbooks

Parlay Room does not take bets. When you tap Place bet, you're sent to the sportsbook's own app or website, and their privacy policy applies there.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you delete it. Past slips are kept so your group's history and leaderboard work. Server logs and backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Your groups → Delete my account. That removes your account, signs you out everywhere, takes you out of every group, and cancels a Pro subscription if you have one. Groups you lead are handed to the next member (or deleted if you're the only one). Legs you added to shared slips stay on those slips as "Former member" so your friends' slips don't break. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.

Age

Parlay Room is for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a minor has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

The app only runs over secure connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, sign-ins expire after a period of not being used, and payments are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Your choices

Change your email and password in the app (email us to change your name).
Turn notifications off at any time.
Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.
